Our trip to Circa 21 for the Church Basement
Ladies 2 was fantastic. The food and the entertainment were equally
delightful. Shirley Porter won the gift certificate.
June 8 (Tuesday) - A new cruise on the Celebration Belle out of Moline
This cruise will start in Burlington and end in
Keokuk. It is a 5 hour cruise with the famous homemade sticky rolls, a
great lunch buffet and afternoon snack with live entertainment. Cost is
$110 per person. MINIMAL WALKING.
July 9 (Friday) "The Doug Gabriel Show" direct from Branson
Branson best morning show, 6 years in a row. Seven
time winner male vocalist of the year, entertainer of the year and
instrumentalist of the year. This is a chance to see a great Branson
show close to home. This is an afternoon show at the Old Creamery
Theatre in the Amanas with dinner following the show. Cost is $80 per
person, with a June 15 deadline. We won't be doing this if we don't get a few more. MINIMAL WALKING
July 17 (Saturday) "The Jersey Boys" at the Civic Center in Des Moines
"TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!" raves the New York Post for
JERSEY BOYS, the 2006 Tony Award-winning best musical about Rock and
Roll Hall of Famers, the Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy
DeVito and Nick Massi. The show features their hit songs "Sherry",
"Big Girls Don't Cry", "Rag Doll", "Oh What a Night" and "Can't Take My
Eyes Off You". Cost is $115 per person; meals are on your own. I should be able to get more tickets for this show. MINIMAL WALKING
July 22 (Thursday) - Catered Picnic at Milton American Legion.
Cost is $7 per person. There will be an Alaska
Trip presentation at 6:00 with dinner at 6:30. Come join the fun and
bring nothing with you! Let me know by July 9 if you plan to attend.
September 7 (Tuesday) "Jailhouse Rock"
Mystery Trip - Be my prisoner for the day and enjoy! Cost is $80
per person. This includes tour, lunch and afternoon snack. Deadline is
August 9.
September 25 - 29 - Lake Michigan Adventure with a 2 night stay on Mackinac Island.
This is full right now with a waiting list. The balance is due by July 9.
October 20 (Wednesday) "Closer Walk with Patsy Cline" at Circa 21 in Rock Island.
Cost is $80 per person. Deadline is September 17. This is an afternoon dinner show. MINIMAL WALKING
November 15 - 19 "Christmas in Branson"
A fun filled week, with a day trip to Eureka
Springs, Arkansas. Shows include Baldknobbers Show, The Platters,
Legends in Concert, The Rankin Brothers, Oak Ridge Boys, Dalena Ditto
Show, The Cat's Pajama's Show and The Miracle of Christmas at the
fantastic Sight and Sound Theatre. This includes 4 Breakfasts, 4
Dinners, 1 lunch and tour in Eureka Springs, all gratuities,
admissions, transportation, travel cancellation insurance and 4 nights
lodging. This year we are staying at the Hotel Grand Victorian on Hwy
76. Cost is: *single-$941 *double-$751 *triple-$674 *quad-$636. Join us
for this exciting holiday adventure. A deposit of $100 will hold your
space. The final payment is due by October 15.
December 1 (Wednesday) "Twelve Days of Christmas-Newton Style"
Join us for a delightful holiday event in Newton.
This is an all day event and includes lunch and dinner. They have some
great events planned. Cost is $80 per person. The deadline for sign up
is October 25.
2011 Winter Cruise to the Bahamas aboard the Carnival Conquest.
Were you cold last winter? Escape for a week and
enjoy the sun and fun! The dates are January 30 to February 6, 2011.
Prices include all airport transfers, shipboard gratuities,
trip cancellation insurance, round trip air, port fees and taxes. All
meals and entertainment aboard ship are included. $100 deposit is due
at sign up, $500 due by August 1 with the balance due by November 1.
Ports of call are Nassau & Freeport, Bahamas and Key West, Florida.
From my research, all you will need is a government issued ID (drivers

Heart of Alaska Cruise/Land tour - August 28 - September 10, 2011
I have received lots of request for a return
trip to the Land of the Midnight Sun! We will have a presentation of
this at the picnic on July 22.
